These terms explain how Leslez may be used. They are short because the service is simple: the fonts follow their own licenses, and the rest of this page covers the site itself.

About These Terms
By using leslez.org you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is part of these terms.
What Leslez Is
Leslez is an open, non-profit font service. Almost every font in the library is open source, and browsing, previewing and downloading are free for everyone, with no account. The project earns nothing; it is kept running by its team and, if they choose to help, by sponsors.
The fonts are made by their designers and foundries, not by Leslez. Leslez collects them in one place, describes them and serves the files.
Using The Fonts
Each font is covered by its own license, which decides what you may do with it, including whether you may use it in commercial work. Most fonts here are under the SIL Open Font License or Apache 2.0, which allow personal and commercial use. Leslez does not add rights to those licenses and does not take any away.
Every font page names its license, and every ZIP contains the license text. A small number of fonts from Fontshare are under the ITF Free Font License; they are downloaded from Fontshare, and its license applies to them. The Font Licenses page explains each license. It is your responsibility to read the license of a font before you use it.
Leslez Content
Everything on the site other than the fonts belongs to Leslez. This includes the font descriptions and other texts, the specimen images, the illustrations and the pineapple character, the photographs, the design of the pages and the code that runs them.
You are welcome to read, share links to and quote short parts of this content with a link back to the page. You may not copy the texts or images to another site, reuse them in a commercial product or service, or use the pineapple character or the Leslez name in a way that suggests a connection with us, without our written permission.
Fair Use Of The Site
Leslez is free because it is used by people, one font at a time. To keep it that way, you may not:
- use bots, scrapers or scripts to download fonts or copy pages in bulk, or download large parts of the library in a short time;
- mirror the library, or offer Leslez downloads or descriptions as part of another font site or service;
- link to our font files directly from another site or app so that they are served from our storage;
- try to break, overload or get around the protections of the site.
Search engines indexing the public pages are welcome. We may block access from any address that does not follow these rules.
Corrections And Removal
If you are the designer or rights holder of a font listed here and believe a listing is wrong, or that the font should not be offered, write to legal@leslez.org. Tell us which font it is and show that you hold or represent the rights. We review every request and correct or remove a listing where the request is valid.
No Warranty
The site and the font files are provided as they are. We take care that files are complete and that descriptions are accurate, but we cannot promise that every file works in every application or that every detail is free of mistakes. Check a font in your own project before relying on it.
Limits Of Liability
To the extent the law allows, Leslez and its team are not liable for any loss that results from using the site or the fonts, including loss of data, work or profit. Leslez is a free service, and nothing is paid for it.
Other Sites
Some pages link to other sites, such as a designer's own site, a font license or Fontshare. We are not responsible for their content or their terms.
Your Rights Under Local Law
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the laws of your country that cannot be excluded by agreement. This includes consumer protection law in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Australia, India, the countries of the Middle East, Pakistan, Brazil, the United States, Canada and the other countries of the Americas. Where a part of these terms cannot apply under your local law, the rest of the terms still applies.
Changes And Contact
We may update these terms when the service changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and using the site after a change means you accept the new terms. For questions about these terms, write to legal@leslez.org.
