Temple tours leave at sunrise
Angkor was the capital of the Khmer Empire from about the 9th century to the 15th, and since 1992 it has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its largest temple, Angkor Wat, was built between 1113 and 1150 under King Suryavarman II. Danh Hong gave the name to a Khmer font for headlines and even banners.
Khmer has 2 traditional letter styles, a slanted one for running text, aksar chrieng, and a round one, aksar mul, used for titles, headings and banknotes. Angkor was made for the same work as the second.
1 Regular style, wide, with Latin included. Set it big on a poster or a banner and pair it with a quieter Khmer text font for the rest.
