No hash, no percent sign, no straight quotes. The character set of Bagnard Sans is short, basic Latin with the French accents, curly quotes and a euro sign, and it decides what you can set in it before taste does.
It is the second font in Sebastien Sanfilippo’s Bagnard repository from 2015, the sans partner of the serif, and it shares the family’s starting point, the graffiti of an anonymous prisoner from the Napoleonic wars. 1 Regular, a little wider than Arial.
Titles and short lines on a poster or a cover, then, set large. A price list would run out of symbols by the second line.
