Bevellier’s corners are clipped off, as the name suggests, and its letters are spurless: the stems of m, n and r stop at the arch and never poke above it, and the crossbar of the t stops short of crossing the whole stem. Aarya Purohit and Barbara Bigosinska drew it narrow, simple and monolinear for Indian Type Foundry.

With every stroke the same thickness, contrast is meant to come from mixing weights inside a headline. The family has 8 of them, ExtraLight to Black, each with an italic whose corners curve where the upright’s are angular. This file is the Regular, and its 2 stylistic sets offer another y and another M.

Posters and logos first. The tall x-height keeps a tightly packed headline readable.
