Capriola means somersault, and Viktoriya Grabowska says some of her letters do exactly that. Several letters turn acrobat, and the g manages a double flip. The most characteristic ones, G, a, g, k and e, have skeletons taken from fast handwriting, each built on a single movement of the hand.
The rest is a sans serif with borrowings from italic type, spaced for the web at Sorkin Type. At headline size the odd shapes are what you see first. Set it small and they quiet down enough that a few paragraphs read comfortably, which gives the 1 Regular style more range than its looks suggest.
