Chathura started out in 2009 as 1 of 42 Telugu fonts in the Ezi Fonts collection, all of them built on the old ASCII encoding. In 2015 Appaji Ambarisha Darbha rebuilt it as a proper Unicode family covering Telugu and Latin.
The letters are rectangular, with a uniform stroke, and very narrow. A line of its Latin takes about half the width Arial would need. That makes it a font for tall, tight headings and invitations, where you want a lot of words in little width.
For the Latin, Darbha borrowed from Rajdhani, the Latin and Devanagari family Shiva Nalleperumal developed at Indian Type Foundry. There are 5 weights, Thin, Light, Regular, Bold and Extra Bold. The Thin at this narrowness is close to a hairline, so we would keep it big.
