Fresh figs and lemon tart
Tart Workshop wrote the description for this one as a picnic invitation: grab something from the market, spread a blanket on the High Line, watch people go by. Chelsea Market is a food hall in Manhattan, in the old Nabisco factory where the Oreo was invented, and the High Line park runs through the building.
Crystal Kluge, the lettering artist behind Tart Workshop, has drawn letters for magazines, giftware, stationery, logos and shop fronts, and the font has that hand-painted shop window feel. Its lowercase is big, close to the height of the capitals, and the letters set wide, which makes a menu board readable from across the room.
1 style. Tart Workshop is a trading name of Font Diner, and its second Google family, Princess Sofia, came a month later.
