A Note On The Page
Eagle Lake · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Eagle Lake’s capitals are kept short, and next to them the lowercase looks taller than it is. Brian J. Bonislawsky, who works as Astigmatic, based the font on the Running Book Hand, a practical calligraphic style, and the short caps help it read fluently in a line.
It runs wide, so give it room. A book cover title, a sign for a lodge or a name on a fantasy map are about the right length.
Bonislawsky’s studio is formally the Astigmatic One Eye Typographic Institute, which is what AOETI stands for. 1 Regular style, Latin and Latin Extended.
