A Note On The Page
Moon Dance · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Happy anniversary, my darling
Rob Leuschke started in the lettering department at Hallmark Cards in 1983, and Moon Dance reads like a font from someone who spent a career on cards, tags and packaging. He later drew fonts for ITC and Bitstream, began selling his own through MyFonts in 2004, and runs the TypeSETit foundry from near St. Louis, Missouri. Moon Dance dates from that 2004 start and reached Google Fonts in November 2021.
It is 2 scripts in 1 file. The main style keeps the capitals fairly restrained; switch on the stylistic set and both capitals and lowercase get the full flourished treatment, for a hand-lettered look.
The lowercase is small and the letters sit close, so lines come out narrow. A name on a gift tag in the flourished set, the rest of the card in the main style: that is how we would split it.
