A Note On The Page
Stalemate · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Stalemate’s capitals tower over everything else. The lowercase reaches 36% of their height, so a name set in it is mostly 1 big flourishing letter followed by a small, tight trail.
Jim Lyles drew it for Astigmatic as a script with vintage roots and a modern attitude. It packs words in narrow, which helps on a place card. A monogram or a wedding seating chart would suit it; a sentence would not. 1 Regular, 370 characters, ligatures and fractions among its features.
