Styro draws its counters as hairlines. Each one runs from top to bottom inside the letter, and Aarya Purohit matched those hairlines optically to the gaps between letters, so a word becomes a row of heavy vertical blocks split by thin, even lines.
It is a modernist stencil built from a deliberately reduced set of shapes, and very narrow; a line of it needs less than half the width Arial would. Every weight of the family is close to monospaced, and going heavier mostly thickens the outer strokes. Accents and a lot of the punctuation are thin lines too, set against the heavy base letters, and terminals such as the top of the a and the foot of the g are cut to plain geometric shapes.
Fontshare connects it to the stencil alphabet Josef Albers made at the Bauhaus. The difference is that Albers worked in a single case, and Styro has both capitals and lowercase.
The full family on Fontshare runs from Extralight to Black; this download holds the Regular, with standard and discretionary ligatures. Posters and logos are the obvious homes, and an article about modern art or design would suit it well.
