Terminus colony, year 50
Asimovian grew out of the geometry of a logotype, where the letters join up through square or circular pieces. Carolina Short first drew it as capitals only and later added a lowercase to finish the alphabet.
The name points at Isaac Asimov’s Foundation novels, and the look follows: sharp edges next to round shapes, part Art Deco and part future. Stroke weight stays uniform throughout. Several glyphs take odd, deliberate turns in their structure, and those are what you notice first.
1 Regular, with Vietnamese. Give it a book jacket, a title card or a game menu and keep the words few. In a paragraph the quirks start to argue with each other.
