Cruise night at the drive-in
The connected scripts on the nameplates of 1950s American cars gave James Grieshaber his starting point. He cut the connections between the letters, kept their spirit, and came out with something legible and a little mechanical. Sorkin Type says it works from very small sizes up to large display. An update in January 2016 improved the hinting and tightened the spacing. 1 Regular, extended Latin. A hot rod show poster, a diner sign, a sci-fi paperback cover.
