Evening fair on the river
On house walls across Andalusia hang commemorative ceramic plaques, lettered by hand, and no 2 come out the same. Olga Umpeleva drew Sevillana for Brownfox from that lettering, folding the variety of many painters’ hands into 1 generalized style, and named it after a folk music style that is everywhere in Seville.
The capitals are what you notice. They stand about twice as tall as the lowercase, so every capitalized word opens with a tall flag.
Middle and large sizes only, by Brownfox’s own account, with restaurant menus and concert posters among the uses it names. Google has carried it since February 2012: 1 Regular, 219 characters with Central European accents, kerning and fractions.
