A Note On The Page
Babylonica · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Midnight swim, no regrets
The slant in Babylonica does not stay put. Most letters lean forward like an italic, and then 1 stands up straight or tips backward, the way real hand lettering wavers. The name for this is interrupted stress.
It is also very narrow, and the lowercase is tiny next to the capitals, the small letters reaching only about 2 fifths of their height. A capital at the start of a word does most of the talking.
Robert Leuschke’s files date from 2010, and Google added the font 12 years later. 1 style. Give it a short line at a big size, on a cover or a label, and let the brush marks show.
