A Note On The Page
Sedgwick Ave · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Block party on 174th Street
1520 Sedgwick Avenue, an apartment block in the Morris Heights part of the Bronx, is widely taken as the place hip hop started. Pedro Vergani and Kevin Burke named their graffiti handwriting font after the street, as part of a pair of fonts celebrating hip hop lettering.
The pair splits the work by size. Sedgwick Ave Display is for big settings; this Sedgwick Ave is the version meant for text, and its letters fill a lot of their body, the lowercase especially, which helps a tag-style hand stay legible over a few lines.
Kevin Burke animates for the Google Doodle team in London, and Marc Foley of Google Fonts has a contributor credit too. 1 Regular, with Vietnamese. A flyer for a block party or a mixtape cover is the obvious stage; for the headline above it, switch to the Display cut.
