Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Sweet notes from Aunt Lorna
Robert Leuschke drew Caramel as 3 variations of 1 hand lettered script, and the current version packs all of them into a single Regular file. You reach the others through stylistic alternates and the 2 stylistic sets, so a word can be given a different swing without swapping fonts. Discretionary ligatures sit in there too.
It is a skinny hand. We set the same lowercase sentence in Caramel and in Arial and Caramel needed about 44% less room, and its small letters are short with long loops climbing above them. That makes it thrifty on a narrow card. At small sizes the lowercase all but disappears.
Would we put it on a cake shop box? Yes, at a decent size. The 592 characters cover Western and Central European languages and Vietnamese.
