Coda’s 800 weight was meant as a plain, hard-hitting display face for the web, light on bandwidth and with no fuss about it. Vernon Adams paired it with a Regular for text and smaller display work, and that is the whole family, 2 styles.
He designed the heavy cut for large sizes, to push important information at the reader on a web page. We would use it that way, a landing page headline or a sale banner set big, and let the Regular or something calmer carry the paragraphs underneath. The lowercase is tall, which helps when the headline has to shrink on a phone. 391 characters, extended Latin.
