Tyler Finck runs Etcetera Type Co out of Ithaca, New York, and Epilogue is the house sans: 9 weights from Thin to Black, every one with an italic.
It sets wide, a good deal wider than Arial across the same words, and the italics keep almost exactly the footprint of the uprights. That pairing suits a site that wants 1 family for body copy and display lines alike, Regular at text sizes and Extra Bold up top. The Black puts down a lot of ink, so keep it for very large sizes.
Behind the letters sit true small caps with a caps-to-small-caps feature, tabular and proportional figures, a slashed zero, stylistic alternates and 1 stylistic set. 689 characters cover a wide range of Latin languages, Vietnamese included.
Google added it in June 2020.
