Farro’s lowercase reaches 80% of its cap height, and that tall lowercase is most of what you notice first. Grayscale, the studio behind it with Aceler Chua as designer, describes it as an artsy display face with a peculiar personality running through a European humanist outline. Google has listed it since July 2019.
4 weights, Light, Regular, Medium and Bold, no italics. Under the display label it carries a proper working kit anyway: tabular and proportional figures, fractions, case sensitive forms, contextual alternates. An order number or a price list will not look out of place in it.
Light is the surprise of the family, holding its own at headline size. Bold with letters this big gets loud fast, so we’d keep it to a word or 2 on a label.
