缝合 means stitched, and the Chinese name of this font is honest about what it is. TakWolf’s real project is Ark Pixel Font, a pan-CJK pixel family that is still being drawn and still missing a great many characters, so Fusion Pixel was put together as a stopgap: Ark Pixel’s glyphs and metrics as the base, and other open pixel fonts of the same size sewn in wherever Ark has a gap. At 12px those helpers are Cubic 11 for traditional Chinese and Galmuri for Korean. The logo is a nod to the Polymerization spell card from Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Proportional is the mode the project recommends for most work. Each character gets the width its shape needs, there is kerning, the line height comes out more natural and the baseline suits ordinary typesetting, which is what a long paragraph of story text in a game wants.
The SC file follows the Table of General Standard Chinese Characters for its Han forms.
1 weight only. If a heading needs weight, TakWolf’s separate Fusion Bold Pixel Font is an algorithmic bold of the same design.
