Notes From The Reading Room

The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.

A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

Go Wildcats, beat State

The block letters you see across American college campuses are the model for Graduate, which Eduardo Tunni drew as a slab serif in 1 Regular style. Its lowercase stands nearly as tall as the capitals, so mixed-case words keep the squared, solid look of an all-caps team name. Basic Latin and kerning, nothing more. Set a team name in it, a reunion banner, a sweatshirt print.
