Shop fronts and market stands in Kenya carry big lettering, and Julia Petretta brought that back from her travels and her life there into a stencil font, first as Kenia and then, reworked, as Keania One.
The shapes alternate sharp corners with soft ones, and the stencil breaks set up a steady rhythm of black and white along a word. It is a headline face. Use it on a magazine section opener or a sports advert, and give it a few words at most. 1 style, Latin with extended accents, kerning included.
