A Note On The Page

Kings · Regular

A short letter, set in the family.

Thursday afternoon

Dear Alex,

I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.

See you there.

The knights rode out at dawn

Kings Honor, Kings Quest and Kings Dominion were 3 separate fonts by Robert Leuschke before he folded them into this one, and the result is a blackletter written with a loose hand and a storybook air about it. His own pitch for it starts with a damsel in distress waiting for the Kings Knights, which tells you where he expects it to end up.

It runs condensed and packs a lot of letters into a line, and there is a stylistic set plus alternates to swap in when a repeated letter looks stamped. Vietnamese is covered. Give it a title and a few words of subtitle at most. A whole paragraph of it we would not set.
