Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Coffee and rain in Portland
Lettering that was popular in the northwest United States in the 1980s is the starting point here, a flat pen hand with capitals that pick up small embellishments. Robert Leuschke turned it into My Soul.
The stroke is sturdy, heavy enough to survive at smaller sizes, and Leuschke says so himself, with a warning attached: shrink it too far and the decorated capitals start to lose their shape. Its lowercase sits at about half the height of the capitals, so the capitals do most of the talking anyway. Let them, and keep the size up.
It dates from 2016, though Google only added it in 2022. 1 Regular, with Central European Latin and Vietnamese, fractions and superscripts.
