Small caps and old style figures are not what anyone expects to find in a handwriting font, yet Patrick Hand has both, along with ligatures, tucked in as OpenType features. Patrick Wagesreiter based the letters on his own handwriting, and the result is narrow: a line of it takes noticeably less room than the same words in an ordinary sans, which suits speech bubbles and margin notes where space is short.
The January 2013 update widened the language support to more European languages and Vietnamese, and a separate small caps family followed a month later. 1 Regular weight here.
