Some 0.4 million people speak Limbu, in Nepal and northern India, and they can write it in Devanagari or in a script of its own, also known as Kiranti or Sirijonga. Noto Sans Limbu is for that second option: the 77 characters of the Limbu block, drawn by the Monotype Design Team as a plain sans with no stroke contrast, and a Latin alongside for mixed text. 1 Regular weight. Like other Indic scripts it needs software with complex text shaping to lay out correctly.
