Futura gave Pitagon Sans Text its nearly even stroke and its pointed curves; Plus Jakarta Sans is the other model its README names. From there Travis Tran raised the x-height a little, opened the counters and evened out the spacing, because this member of the Pitagon set has a modest job: the paragraphs and descriptions inside an interface, the reading text.
Geometric sans faces built on Futura can look cold. This one is warmer, mostly because of the house rules: no sharp corners on continuous strokes, capitals drawn in the same spirit as the lowercase.
Does switching to italic for emphasis push a line over? Hardly. Over a sentence the italics take almost exactly the room of the roman.
14 styles, ExtraLight 200 to ExtraBold 800, each paired with an italic. The character set is Latin with Vietnamese, 732 characters, and the features lean practical: tabular and proportional figures, fractions, sub- and superscripts, case-sensitive forms and 3 stylistic sets. Version 1.0.2 came out in March 2023 and 1.1.1 that August.
Set body copy at 15 or 16 px. At headline sizes the Futura bones show through more than the softening does.
