Mandaic script, a liturgical alphabet
Mandaic is the liturgical language of the Mandaean religion, and its alphabet, which grew out of the Aramaic script, is still used in Iraq and Iran. It runs right to left, and the Noto description counts about 5,000 speakers.
This is the Noto version by the Monotype design team: a plain, unmodulated design covering the 37 characters of the Unicode Mandaic block, plus Latin for notes and transliteration. 1 Regular weight. Software must support complex text shaping for the letters to join correctly.
