Konzert am Marktplatz, Samstag
A series of German posters, lettered by hand in a nearly monoline stroke, gave Oldenburg its start. Nicole Fally drew it for Sorkin Type Co and let it drift from the source wherever a faithful copy would have been less useful, while keeping the whimsy that made those posters worth borrowing from.
1 Regular, 411 characters with the extended Latin accents, no OpenType features, and wide on the line. The foundry says it holds up across a wide range of sizes. We’d still start it at 24 px, on a concert poster or a market-day flyer.
