The poster for Sayonara, the 1957 film with Marlon Brando, is where Shojumaru started. Astigmatic took the chop suey lettering of that era and mixed it with traditional letter shapes into something of its own.
It is very wide, 1 style, with fractions and the extended Latin. Our opinion: it works for a retro film poster and can feel like a cliche on a restaurant menu, so look at your context before you use it.
