Type -> in SN Pro and you get an arrow. The same goes for =>, <=> and !=, which ligatures turn into proper symbols, and that small trick says a lot about who made this font and why.
Tobias Whetton trained in biomedical engineering. In 2023, while co-founding Supernotes, a short-form notes app based in London, he started reworking Nunito, Vernon Adams’s sans, into something that behaves better in Markdown. Every character was revisited, with refined spacing and adjusted proportions.
The cleverest part is stylistic set 1, which Supernotes calls Markdown Marks. Switch it on and the asterisks and backticks grow larger and bolder, so you can see your formatting marks while you edit.
On this page: 8 weights from Extra Light to Black, each with an italic, 16 files, plus Cyrillic and Vietnamese, tabular and old style figures and 3 stylistic sets. It went into Google’s library in December 2025. For an app that shows raw Markdown to its users, we cannot think of many better fits.
