Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Tangerine takes its name from a woman who encouraged Toshi Omagari to start the work. He drew it from the italic chancery hands of the 16th and 17th centuries.
The ascenders give it away, very tall, and they ask for generous space between lines, while the lowercase beneath them is short. Omagari himself says to keep it for titles and short texts at large sizes, and we agree: a quotation on a wedding program, set big with plenty of leading. Regular and Bold, basic Latin.
