In Japan, Fontworks distributes this design under the name Railway. Every stroke is built from an outer line with an inner line running inside it, on a gothic skeleton, so the letters come out open and light on their feet.
Fontworks pitched it at logos and titles, where that strong first impression counts. Over a paragraph it would wear thin. Kana, kanji, Latin, Greek and Cyrillic all sit in the 1 Regular style, and Google Fonts added it in December 2020.
