Game night starts after dinner
There are almost no curves in Unlock. Eduardo Tunni built it from rectangles, rounding off some corners (the only curves it allows), and he made the counters fully rectangular too, with joints solved in his own way. The lowercase stands nearly as tall as the capitals and the descenders are short.
What comes out looks rough and a little like old wood type, yet some of the letters read as science fiction. That double nature is the fun of it.
Tunni pointed it at headlines and short texts, though he drew it so it could also work small. A February 2023 update brought more glyphs and fractions; it first came to Google Fonts in November 2011. There are stylistic alternates to dig into.
We’d put it on a board game box or the sign for a climbing gym.
