Notes From The Reading Room
The reading room opens onto a quiet courtyard. Along the shelves, small handwritten labels mark the collections. A visitor leaves a book open beside the window, keeping a place for the next reader.
A heading marks the next chapter. The margins leave room for a note while the text continues across the page.

A letter from Addis Ababa
Abyssinica SIL draws Ethiopic in a calligraphic style, and SIL has kept working on it for a long while; the copyright years run from 2000 to 2024. It covers Ethiopic and Latin in 1 Regular style. With no bold, headings in Ethiopic text have to grow by size alone. Books and school texts are its proper work, where the calligraphic hand gets room to show.
