Joana Correia drew Karma for Indian Type Foundry, which published it in 2014, to set body text on screens in 2 scripts, Devanagari and Latin. Both halves lean toward a monolinear stroke and both have rounded ends, on the serifs of the Latin and on the stroke terminals of the Devanagari.

The Devanagari is the more interesting half. Its knotted terminals are closed, yet the letters still feel open and airy; ख (kha), छ (cha) and ध (dha) show it best.

The Latin is economical in width, with a generous x-height.

ITF later re-engineered the fonts, Rahul Gajjar doing that work, and this page offers the Regular, which carries the Latin half only. Short interface text and captions are where we would try it, at sizes where the rounded serifs keep their shape.
