A Note On The Page
Alex Brush · Regular
A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

Short ascenders, short descenders. Robert Leuschke kept the loops of Alex Brush close to the body of the letters on purpose, for legibility, and you see it at once: the script sits in a compact band, a name set in it still reads at a modest size, and lines can sit closer together without the loops tangling into each other. The stroke is joined and brushy, and the face is narrow.
Google Fonts added it on December 19, 2011. Arizonia and Italianno, 2 more of his scripts, went up the same day and Allura followed in February 2012, so it is among his earliest releases there, 10 years ahead of the big group of his fonts that arrived in 2021.
1 Regular style. Accents run to Central European languages and Vietnamese, handy for names on wedding stationery, and the file carries discretionary ligatures and alternates if your software can reach them.
