Wanted: honest cattle drovers

The starting point was the Six-lines Pica Egyptian that Robert Thorne cut for the Thorowgood Foundry. JM Solé took that model and pushed it hard: the stems got extremely heavy, the serifs bigger, the stroke contrast stronger, and the terminals taper gradually and finish on a single serif. The page goes very black where Alfa Slab One sits.

Is it subtle? No. It is 1 Regular style, there is nothing lighter to fall back on, and at body sizes we would expect the small counters to clog. Set it as large as the layout allows, a poster headline or a logotype, with plenty of white around it.

671 characters cover Vietnamese and the extended Latin languages, with fractions and ordinals for prices.
