A Note On The Page

A short letter, set in the family.
Thursday afternoon
Dear Alex,
I left the book by the window. There is a note on page twenty-three that I thought you would like. Bring it along on Thursday; we can finish the conversation over coffee.
See you there.

2 tools went into Allison. The lowercase shows a flat calligraphy pen, while the capitals look brushed, and the gap in scale between them is big: the small letters are well under half the height of the caps. Robert Leuschke kept it casual.
It runs very narrow, so a name in it takes little room, and it needs a good size before the lowercase can be read. Thank-you cards and signature lines suit it. Old style and lining figures are included, and Vietnamese along with Western and Central European languages.
