Archivo began at Omnibus-Type as a grotesque for highlights and headlines, with an eye on American typefaces of the late 19th century, and it was itself derived from Chivo. The full Archivo family has normal, Narrow and Black styles. This page is the Black on its own, a single heavy, broad style for the loud end of a layout.
Hector Gatti and the foundry drew it to work in print and on screens at the same time, and the character set covers over 200 languages. There are fractions, superscripts and a few stylistic alternates.
It is too heavy for anything longer than a line or 2. Give it a short word, plenty of tracking room, and a lighter Archivo or a plain serif underneath for the reading.
