Several stems in Francois One end in a slanted cut. Vernon Adams added those angled terminals to an old style of gothic display sans to give it some play, after digitizing the earlier letterforms and reshaping them for the web, opening the counters up a little and tuning the stems so the face holds as a bold headline in a browser.
It came out in 2011, 1 Regular style that already looks bold. Set it in capitals on a photo or a gig poster and give it some tracking. For body text pair it with something lighter, since a paragraph of Francois One gets dense quickly.
