Telex started on the pixel grid. Andrés Torresi based its first shapes on grid fitting for the screen, and over time it grew into a multi-purpose humanist sans, published by HT Fonts. It kept low contrast and open counters, and the proportions came out wide.

Reading at normal text sizes was the point. With only a Regular, though, we would hold it to web body copy and short interface text where nobody needs a bold. 266 characters of extended Latin, with fractions and superscripts in the OpenType set.
