Sintony’s small letters are tall, close to 4/5 the height of its capitals, which gives a paragraph a big, open look at ordinary reading sizes. Eduardo Rodríguez Tunni built it with a slightly square structure and smooth modulation in the strokes, and meant it for long passages with a calm, clear tone.
Tunni was born in Buenos Aires in 1963 and studied graphic design at the University of Buenos Aires before turning to type. He co-founded the Argentine foundry Tipo, taught for 10 years on the university’s master’s course in type design, and has made multilingual custom type for magazines, newspapers, universities and businesses; some of his working methods ended up inside major font editing software. Under the shorter credit Eduardo Tunni he has 37 families on Google Fonts, Arapey, Mate and Changa One among them.
Sintony comes in Regular and Bold, Latin and Latin Extended.
