Rosalie Wagner drew the Greek in Arima as a Google Summer of Code project in 2017, mentored by Emilios Theofanous and Irene Vlachou. It sits in the same font as the Latin by Natanael Gama and Joana Correia of NDISCOVER, the foundry in Portugal that runs the project, and the same file also covers Tamil and Malayalam, with Vietnamese thrown in. 4 scripts in 1 display family is unusual company.

The idea behind it was a headline face with soft edges and a calligraphic feel that would still be legible on a cheap phone. Contrast is kept low so the thin parts survive coarse screens, each weight was tested on low resolution phones, and the hinting was done with ttfautohint for Windows from the first round of testing.

7 weights here, Thin at 100 to Bold at 700.

For a menu header or a shop name on a mobile site we would reach for Regular or Medium. Keep the Thin for big sizes; down at body size its strokes all but disappear.
