Chapter 2: the night market
Traditional Chinese has more than 1 standard, and Fusion Pixel answers with 3 separate builds. This TC file follows the traditional printed forms. The zh-HK build takes its shapes from the Hong Kong government’s reference glyphs for computers, and the zh-TW build from the Ministry of Education chart used in Taiwan. A game going out only in Taipei would do better with the TW file; for a general Traditional readership this one is the neutral choice.
At 12 pixels a good part of the Traditional set is borrowed. TakWolf builds on his own Ark Pixel Font for the base glyphs and metrics and fills the Traditional gaps from Cubic 11, another pixel font drawn to the same size, with Galmuri covering Korean.
Spacing is proportional with kerning, and Bopomofo is included for annotation, along with kana and Hangul.
You can type your own lines into the project’s browser playground before downloading anything, and the repository’s docs folder lists how many characters each size and mode holds.
