Midnight at the old bazaar
The colors in Blaka Ink are part of the font. It is a color font built with the COLRv1, CPAL and SVG tables, so the shading arrives with the letters and you do not choose it in the layout program. Only a few applications support this yet, Google Chrome from version 98 among them.
The design under the color is Mohamed Gaber’s Blaka. Gaber took the gothic feel of blackletter and pushed its geometry until it could meet Kufic, then drew both scripts as if with a reed pen. The Latin keeps the sharp edges. The Arabic uses sharp edges and thick strokes that overlap, and those overlaps stand in for the baseline in most letters, which gives a very old writing tool a present-day look.
Blaka also comes as a regular 1-color font and as Blaka Hollow, an outline version, if the Ink files will not show where you need them.
