The digits in Baloo Bhaijaan 2 are Urdu ones unless you say otherwise. Set the text language to Persian, or switch on the first stylistic set, and 3 of them change to their Persian forms, the 4 among them.
So Urdu is the home language here. The letters Urdu adds to the Arabic alphabet are all in place, from the retroflex ٹ ڈ ڑ to the bari ye ے, and Persian پ چ ژ گ come with them.
It is the 1 family in Baloo 2 outside the Indic scripts, and the latest of them to reach Google Fonts, in October 2021. The font credits Sanskriti Dholi and Noopur Datye. Underneath, the shaping is complete Arabic, with each letter taking its joining form from its place in the word and lam alef forming on its own. Mark positioning puts the harakat over the right letter. There is a ﷲ ligature as well.
The stroke stays close to monoline, with little difference between thick and thin, which keeps the round Baloo feel intact across the script change. We would give the Extra Bold 1 or 2 words on a shop sign and use Regular or Medium for an Urdu and English menu, where the tabular figures keep the prices lined up in a column.
