The GDL in the name stands for Guideline: this is Betania Patmos with ruled lines drawn into each letter, for children practicing their handwriting.
Carolina Giovagnoli drew the family at Huerta Tipográfica for literacy teaching, working with teachers, pedagogues and people in educational technology. The letters are austere on purpose. They keep the essential path of the pen and drop anything that could be read 2 ways. The joins come from contextual alternates, modeled on Rosalie Wagner’s Borel, and they work in LibreOffice, Microsoft Office and plain text editors, so a teacher does not need design software to make a sheet.
Proportions run a little condensed, to get more words into each ruled line. There is 1 Regular style.
