Kimberly Geswein says this font always makes her smile, and that is about as much of a design brief as it had. The letters lean toward joining up without becoming a proper script, a hand that is quick and upbeat.

Geswein started making fonts in 2006 and has since put out more than 350 under her KG Fonts label, many of them aimed at teachers; she comes from a family of educators and once taught photography and theater herself. Over the Rainbow dates from 2010, and Indie Flower and Shadows Into Light are among her other hands.

1 Regular style, Latin only. A note home from school or a handmade party flyer suits it.
